Imam Al-Hussein is the grandson of the holy prophet of Islam, Muhammad peace be upon them. His mother is the first lady of Islam Hazrat Fatimah al-Zahra, the daughter of the prophet and his father is Hazrat Ali, the most revered man in Islam after the prophet peace be upon them. Imam Al-Hussein is the third of the 12 infallible Imams (leaders) appointed to lead the Muslims by the Holy Prophet (on instructions from Allah the Almighty).
